Shopping for colours this Spring at Freedom Tree.

Spring time seems to be elbowing its way in and waving goodbye to the winter winds. Spring, a temperate season, preceding summer, spells colour and joy for me. If you are an adventurous soul and thirsting for changing the look of your space frequently, then colours are your best friend.  A dynamic infusion of character to a space can be achieved by injecting vibrant cushions and tableware to impact its personality.  Let's begin with examples of such colour play.

A basic thumb rule to follow would be choose 2-3 colours and mix them in a ratio of 60:30:10. The percentage of primary colour would be 60%, 30% of the secondary colour to bring out the contrast and the remaining 10% would be highlight addition. A tweak in this principle can always be used if you want to bypass the rule. Many a time it can create wonders if nipped smartly. I will cover 3 ways, with photo images, of how incorporating colours this spring can change the mood and ambience in your home and space.

*Retro, modern, mid century, classical look. A cream, linear-lined sofa made energetic and flamboyant by adding luscious green and floral cushion covers in forest theme, primary colour thematic floor cover and vibrant tableware.

*Bohemian wonderland look. There is no place other that I would want to be seated but in a feminine curved sofa, with teasing burst of pinks and yellows. The icing on the cake being a comfortable floor layout on a thematic rug and vivacious, ceramic cup to sip from.

* Urban smart look. Grey neutral sofa, relaxed geometry, subtle cool palette hues, speaks volumes of embracing the urban genre. Straight lined coffee tables with metallic legs on a geometric rug and monochromatic tableware complete the vitality of the space design.

If you are up for beaten, metal finish with touches of cool blues, even a spartan chest of drawers and slight hints of colour could add dazzle to your space, breaking the thumb rule as we have discussed earlier.

I scouted these lovely home space design lays during my shopping spree at Freedom Tree, at their studio showcase in Mumbai. If you are looking for a design focused piece for your home, at a mid-level price,  there are effervescent designs to shop from at their stores in Bandra and Goa too https://www.freedomtree.in/pages/our-stores. If you are an online shopper then https://www.freedomtree.in/ is the destination to hop in for these products. You might just be lucky to grab some great bargains this spring.

While digging around I caught glimpses of their boho worktable and some sparkling tableware which I added to my wishlist. Well, when I see gifted work of art, I cannot help but stop and shop.

  1. Very nice trip through lovely pictures and colourful effervescent design concepts of Freedom Tree. What I really appreciate of this post is the simplicity of elucidation in words that makes me feel as if I'm being led through the store being handheld. Love the concepts, colours and the delightful write up. Just too good!
