Fuss free inspirations for a modern home design

It is no secret that today the world of design is leaning to the contemporary side of the spectrum. The minimalistic look has come a long way in evolving from a stark cold look to a livable, warm, cozy yet impactful ambience. 
Today I will talk about one such home designed by architect Amit Shastri. It draws inspirations from geometrical compositions and has a fuss free easy going charm.


 This was essentially designed as an easy maintenance holiday home. It has been brought alive with a function driven comfortable decor featuring a neutral colour palette, rich veneer, natural polished wood and Italian marble (grey Fresco, bronze Armani). The simple modern look is celebrated with strong geometrical patterns, customized furniture starting from the living and dining area. Working on vertical and horizontal lines, mirrors are strategically used as wall claddings to triumph over the visual constraint of a rectangular space. A dynamic lighting palette with geometric patterns creates different moods for different occasions, thus rendering drama to the space which sees a lot of entertaining.




White travertine in the master bedroom with rich wood work in dyed Oak, clean lines and light play – heightens the richness, as do the frosted glass on the walls and Italian marble wall cladding.




White walls with origami styled lights, dyed ash sage veneer and dashes of colour makes the children's room vibrant and spunky. 


A neutral colour palette with fumed Eucalyptus veneer keeps gives the guest bedroom a warm cozy ambience.


A fuss free inspiration - here the creatives are spoken through a language which believe in the less-is-more aesthetic. It delicately balances simplicity complementing modern imagination with a dash of coziness that makes the space a home with oodles of style.
